5 "Must-Have" Things for Any Affiliate Marketer
The idea of being mere passengers on a ship meant to sail to the farthest points does not appeal to people who like to put their destiny into their own hands. They have the desire of manoeuvring the ships themselves, of being able to be the ones to take it anywhere they want to. Being aboard a ship on its way to a particularly great destination is something each and every one of them dreams of, and the knowledge that they have the capacity to steer it themselves is what makes them actually want to.
Perhaps this is the reason why more and more people are succumbing to one of the most popular businesses around – affiliate marketing. It is because in this business, there are no bosses to order the employees around. There are no deadlines to meet and no clutter of work do to. One only needs to be equipped with the tools needed to succeed in a business such as this, and he is bound to get what his heart ultimately desires.
Just what are the things needed to be able to succeed in affiliate marketing? What must one have within himself to be able to do well in this industry? There is a lot of competition involved in affiliate marketing, and to be able to rise above the norm, one must be equipped with just the right stuff necessary to propel him forward. There are five things one must ultimately possess if he wants to achieve the glory he is yearning for in this business, and these five things are a must for him to possess to be able to stand out among the rest.
The very first quality one must possess if he wants to try his hand in affiliate marketing is the willingness to learn and be trained. Treading through unfamiliar territory is scary stuff if one is not properly equipped, and he might get lost amidst a jungle of the unknown. Learning the tricks of the trade is also an important aspect of the game, and one's willingness to know it all will give him far better advantages in the business than he could ever imagine.
The second quality one must possess is the willingness to invest time and effort even if direct results do not seem at all apparent. Although several months may pass without good news, it is important for one who has his foot in the industry to hold on and wait. It is this quality which would save him from giving up after investing a lot of himself in the business.
The third quality one must possess is self-determination. If one wants to conquer the affiliate marketing world, he must have the ability to push himself ahead. Never having to say die is a quality each and every affiliate marketer should possess, and the ability to motivate oneself into scaling greater heights is an ability which would actually take an affiliate marketer there.
The fourth quality one must possess is discipline. If one knows how to teach himself to work everyday with all the energy he can muster, then he is close to achieving what he has set his heart to having in the first place.
The fifth and last quality one must possess is optimism. Negative attitudes and hearsay should not discourage an affiliate marketer from pursuing what he has to in order to make life better for himself and for everyone concerned. Neither should anyone influence his attitude toward the business, because once in it, it is a must for him to be the captain of his ship and the master of his soul.
The ingredients to success in a business such as affiliate marketing are diverse and manifold, but the most important thing one needs to be able to make it big lies in himself alone. It is he who has the capacity to do everything to be able to realize his prospects, and the desire which fuels his heart in doing so is the gasoline which should keep the engine going.
Affiliate marketing is all about putting one's fate into his own hands. The right attitude is the key to being able to steer one's ship into that part of the ocean where a certain kind of serenity can be found, one that permeates the atmosphere as the ship sails calmly on.

3 Free and Effective Methods to Generate More Site Traffic
There are countless websites in the net. Competition is tough and it can be quite difficult to drive traffic to your site. Traffic generation is crucial to your e-business marketing campaign. To survive, you need to generate more traffic and interest to your website. Here are three effective methods for doing just that.
Your traffic represents your prospective customers. The more traffic you generate, the more chance there is for people to buy your product or your service. You need to create an effective marketing plan in order to create interest among people.
There are many ways to generate traffic to your site. However, you don't want to generate just any traffic, your aim should be to generate free targeted traffic. You should consider employing different methods for generating targeted website traffic. Do not limit yourself to just one method. The following are three free site traffic generation methods that you can try.
--- Step 1: Write and submit articles
Everyday, people would visit Google to look for information they need. By writing highly informative, unique and interesting articles and submitting these to high-traffic article directories, you will be read and your articles will become your website's advertisement.
People who found your articles informative and helpful would go to your website for more information. If you continue along this vein – writing and submitting more articles – more people would trust you and your business over time. Your articles would generate much interest that it would be difficult for search engines to ignore them and your website.
In time, your website will appear in search engine results every time a prospective customer searches for a product or a service that you could provide. At the very least, your articles will appear in these search results and they will lead search engine users to your site.
When you submit articles to different websites, make sure that your articles are fresh and interesting. Add a link to your website as well. Remember that your purpose is to generate traffic to your website. Be mindful of keywords that most people would use when searching for a product, service or any information when you write these articles.
--- Step 2: Use viral marketing techniques
This type of marketing, if employed effectively, would generate more targeted traffic than you thought possible. Viral marketing involves using viral videos which are very effective forms of advertisement. People just love passing on videos to others. If you can just make videos that people find worthy of forwarding to their friends (maybe because they're hilarious, or super silly or wonderfully odd), then your company can become known to a lot of people. Of course, your videos must have your company information so people will know where to find your site.
Viral marketing can also take occur through viral e-books and viral software. Viral e-books are informative guides that people find good enough to forward to their friends. Viral software refers simply to applications that people find useful enough to refer to their friends.
People generally pass on by mouth their positive reaction to any business, product or service. This is how the viral aspect of this type of marketing takes effect.
--- Step 3: Optimize your site for search engine queries
You must endeavor to make your site get recognized by prominent search engines to be relevant in your keyword category. The more relevant your site is (according to the search engine ranking algorithms), the better your search engine ranking will be and the easier you will be to find through search engine queries. Therefore, make sure to undertake search engine optimization.

Increasing Adsense Income
The term AdSense has almost become synonymous with a quick and easy way to earn income. Adsense is Googles way of sharing revenue with webmasters. Adsense is used as a way to make money with a website. Online marketers call this monetizing a site. Simply put that means that your website is an employee who goes out into cyberspace and earns income for you.
How much money a Webmaster earns from Adsense is influenced by a lot of external forces. However, the most common thread for making money from Adsense is the quality of content on the website. It is not remarkable that article marketing and Adsense incomes are intrinsically linked.
Internet writers are in high demand. Writers create the content that drives the Internet consumer's constant need for information. Some of the content in the form of articles is available from article directories. Private Label Rights Membership sites provide another supply of articles.
Because of the constant requirement for content, there are thousands of article directories that provide an unlimited number of articles on various subjects that Webmaster use to fill their sites with updated content. This content is an important resource. Good content is demanded by online surfers. Quality content encourages the search engines to not only visit the sites but to reward content publishers who provide quality content with higher page rankings.
Putting AdSense on a web page that has relevant content is the foundation for creating extra income. Using keywords and other Search Engine Optimizations tactics correctly will result in the highest revenues. Some experts suggest certain colors of the ad or the way the Adsense ads are placed on the page are differentiating factors that effect Adsense income.
There are many strategies explained in ebooks and reports on how to make the best use of Adsense ads to increase your income. But nothing brings the search engines, clicks, visitors and sales quicker than providing good content. Quality content is the fuel that drives this money machine.
Building a website from scratch for the sole purpose of cashing in on all the money available through AdSense might be a good use of resources. But the website must contain real content. Some webmasters try to use shortcuts to create Adsense sites.
Google penalizes sites that are packed with keywords and nonsensical articles that read like badly translated dictionaries. These sites are created solely for the purpose of providing a space to put up AdSense units. This type of site is ignored or at worst banned by Google. Your Adsense sites must meet Google's stringent criteria for relevant content in order to monetize the site.
In the Online world you can never be too rich or offer your customer too many choices. The Internet is all about choice. You can create websites around almost any keyword or subject and earn Adsense income. The quality of the content on the site will determine whether you create income from Adsense or a static placeholder on the Internet.

5 Steps to Make a Profit With Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate Marketing is among the most effectual and influential methods to make an income online. Affiliate programs provide everyone an opportunity to build a profit via the medium of Internet. Since these affiliate marketing avenues are easy to take part in, apply and they give a commission regularly, more and more people are currently eager to link in this profitable dealing. Here are 5 steps to make profit with affiliate marketing
1. Choose the right affiliate: It is always important to choose a right affiliate for a long term profit. Choosing a product that is hot temporarily is wise. It is important that the product should appeal you. Research the present as well as future demand of the product you want to get affiliated with.
2. Do not join too many affiliates: Joining too many affiliates is not a good idea. It is difficult to promote too many products at one time.
3. Use the product: In order to convince someone else, it is important that you yourself are convinced with the quality and assurances made by the product. So in order to promote and recommend the product convincingly, it is important that you try the product that you are promoting.
4. Make intellectual choice: Even though affiliate marketing is one of the simplest ways to build a little profit online, but all the affiliate programs do not give high commission. Tie up with affiliate program that have a 30% or superior commission payouts or offer residual payouts.

Adsense - An Easy Profit Solution
Have you used Adwords in hope of making some quick cash?
If so then you know that it's not always doable even when there are lots of statistics to back up your conversion rate. Most beginners end up losing more money than their initial investment. You probably don't want to do the same.
To offset some of the potential lost you can apply for Google Adsense if you're a publisher and then earn profits from people clicking on your ads. Most of the time people create massive amounts of pages in hopes of making money. What most people don't know about is that you can even make money with only a few pages. It sounds incredible but it works.
The first thing you do is to find a good niche where people are overpaying for a top ad position. What would be an example of this? Well check for the niches that are well above the one dollar range.
Next step is building one page designed solely for the purpose of placing Adsense onto them. Write content related to the niche that you're trying to target. If that doesn't work, you can always find an article from an article directory and use the ones that are related to your niche. There's a tag in Google Adsense that you should try to make sure that your ads will be the ones that you want showing up. So if relevancy is an issue, you should check into this.
Then you go to your Adwords and bid on the price that you want to use, and it's usually going to around 5 cents. Maybe even more if you're willing to invest in that.
The trick here is to create an arbitrage situation where it costs you less for people to click on your ads, and earns you more when people decide to click on the ads on your page. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll need to make sure that your ads are high enough in profit to make you the money. Otherwise, it'll just be a waste of time.
Sometimes it won't earn you more than a few dollars a day. Yet if you do this right, you can set these up over and over again. This is just one page. Doing more will bring in a ton of money just that easily.
Another way to capitalize is to create an affiliate account and then place those links on your page. So if they end up just reading your article they may click on your affiliate link instead. This way you will now have two profit channels and you can decide which one you want to focus more on. A subscriber list recommended but not necessary.
A tip is to start from the high paying keywords first and then work your way down. Don't enter the Internet Marketing niche as it's probably too crowded. So would credit cards or something of that variety. You want to find something where most people aren't focusing on.
This whole system is actually called Adsense Arbitrage, and you could consider it fairly recent when it made its way to public. It works but there is a time investment. You would also need to wait between the time that checks start coming in and when you are actually spending money on your campaign.

Have You Made Your Fortunes Online Yet?
If not you are not alone. Right now there are millions of people struggling to make money online and let me tell you from my own experience the hardest part is making that first few dollars in profit. I have tried it all online and have struggled just to make my first dollar also.
The hardest thing about making money online has always been getting traffic to my sites. I believe that this is the single biggest problem that all marketers face. How do you get enough visitors to your sites and how do you keep them coming.
I believe if you can solve your traffic problems then you can solve all your internet problems. You certainly cannot expect to get any sales if you do not have any customers coming to your site or sites. So concentrating on getting traffic to your sites is the most important aspect of internet marketing.
If you have traffic coming in to your sites and you do not have en email capture form you are leaving a lot of money on the table. This is because most customers do not make a purchase on their first visit to your site. You need to keep in touch with them at least 5 – 7 times before they actually make a purchase.
I'm sure you have heard the saying that the money is in the list. Nothing could be more true so never forget that. It may be one of the most important things you can learn in internet marketing. I believe that most newbies do not start off with an email capture form because they feel it is too difficult to set up an autoresponder. But I would recommend finding out how to use one fast because you are going to need it.
Of course another important aspect of marketing is finding or creating products to sell. Let us take a look at both of these real quickly. You can create your own product but let me tell you that is a lot of work. If you can do the writing yourself to create an ebook then you have to hire a writer to create your ebook for you. You can find writers to create your own products by doing a search online.
The best bet for that average person to get started in their own business is to find products already created for you and resell them. These can be Master Resell Rights products or Private Label Products. You can purchase them, put your own name on them so you appear to be the one who created the products. Not having to create a product yourself will save you countless hours of hard work.
So in conclusion if you are not making the kind of money you desire online or you are not making anything at all then do not give up on your self. Just follow proven business models and you cannot go wrong. Also one of the biggest problems facing internet marketers is procrastination. You must take a little action each day whether it be working on your sites or reading about the latest marketing trend. Making money online does not happen overnight. It takes more persistence then the average person is willing to put in.

What is a Web portal?
The non-local networks were been first used by the "Advanced Research Projects Agency" of Pentagon (the defense ministry of the state) in 1960.
By designing the network, the main goal was to connect each computer to two other stations, so the sent packet messages could be transmitted in
various ways. After a few times, this network changed gradually and shaped a new means that was the modern Internet.
At that time, there was nobody to believe that the whole network will be grew too quickly to be moderated that difficult and there is a necessary need to specialist and expert managers. The most important reason was the free space on the web!
But today, the "World Wide Web" theory is making all the users feel free to access the Internet without the requirement of technical information. In the other word, a complicated mission with an easy usability that makes the user mixed up between "Web" and "Internet" as two separated means.
The essential goal of "WWW" theory was the easy and simple access to online content and services by using a specified application with special capabilities. So the production of these applications was a great step toward online utopia and classification of services and context on the net.
The enhancement of Internet and web-based services is occurring too quickly that it is impossible for everyone to remember even the one tenth of current active website names because he have to remember daily more than 20,000 new domain names.
The ease of use and friendly application environment are the best reasons for each user to take part in using the network services. So it is not logical to expect a user to try surfing hundreds of websites to access various and different services or register for divers providers and be concerned about saving the privacy information of each registration.
So the web, reached to an unwanted new level that is called to be "Web Portal" era.
So I think that if we desire to result a new declaration of "web portal", we have to translate it, word by word.
We are almost acquainted with the specified definitions of web and we know that web is a simple way to access virtual and cyber content or services.
But the question is the portal. When we talk about portal, we mean to a cyber gateway or doorway. In the other word, portals are trying to get advantages from numerous related websites and take them together in a unit place. A unit place that is implemented to provide the daily needed content and services and prevent the diffusion of content.
So from this definition we can understand that web portal is not a special product, but has a standard personality and nature that is being made by two structural concepts: Services and contents.
The definition above would make the common and inexpert user to get mixed up that every "links page" or each multi-usage website could be named as a portal that facilitates the access to other websites, but with regard to the main definition, we can claim that it is not correct at all to call the hyperlinks collection and site directories as web portals because the web portals have a known personality with the possibility of servicing and providing the desired content to their users.
The base goal of web portals is to categorize the information and making the access to them, easier than before. This could helps to prevent the user to be strayed and the information to be lost. This could be possible through accessing to portals by creating a digital identification and gathering a personal profile.
Most of web portals are common and joint in some items containing:
1- The variety of services
2- Rising funds and business plans
3- The way of user access to information
4- The way of service providing
5- The spread provide of information
These simple but vital items are the basic structures of web portals growth and activation that could results to a rough and interesting competition among portals.
The variety of portal services is much different in compare with a website that is working in a special and professional field. Due to the limitations of common websites to engage in various and different fields and issues, we can observe that the indoor workgroups of such websites are very smaller than web portals those have to share their attention in many directions and issues.
Below are the most important services, hosted by portals:
· Search engine
· Email services
· Free space and weblog hosting
· Information provide and advertising
· News
· Hot downloads
· Chat and messaging
But such web portals are trying hard to bring new innovations and provide modern services in order to avoid the user to be bothered and also to interest some new users and consumers.
To not lose the great amount of customers and users, web portals are trying to offer their main and domestic services for free so the chance of victory in the competition field with all the opponents will increases.
One of the other properties of web portals is the way of its services managing by the user. There is a single and unit way for user to access all the services such as blog service, radioblog, mail and chat, online shopping etc and that is his personal ID and Password.
It will prevent the user to create and save numerous Ids and remember all the security information for each of them and reduces the bothering among various cookies, cache files and security items.
But lets state that all the web portals that offer their services for paid types would fail strongly.
Also, the indirect access to Internet services is one of the great concerns of each 21st century user. One of the main duties of each web portal is to provide the user with wide-area and remote services such as SMS-2-Email and other mobility engines.
If all the preliminaries are provided, so we can say that our web portal is reached to the productivity level and we can take advantages of it. But the lack of financial programming and economic reasoning in a scientific way would threaten the whole life of the project.
With regard to the definitions above, it occurs a common and general question. How a web portal reaches to productivity? If all the services such as emailing, web-based search, news groups, radio and instant messaging are free so how it could be beneficial and financially useful to us as the owners of project?
But the answer is so simple. Web portals are in a straight relation with e-commerce techniques. So the return of net income and productivity is gained through electronic commerce.
But the make the issue clearer, lets define E-commerce once forever. E-commerce is the interchange of products and services with money by using the abilities of network!
It means that E-commerce equals the notification, advertisement, communication and exchange through the electronic and online data processing. The good examples for common e-commerce today are the online stores and e-shops.
It is a gross diplomacy for portal owners to upgrade their visitors and users amount by offering popular and favorite services and meet the financial needs and inquiries by gathering good advertisement from predominant companies and well-known brands.
Many think that portals are subcategorized into two columns: General portals and specialized portals. And it results the portals to be grouped into horizontal portals level and vertical portals level. But I think that it is not a correct arrangement and would make mistakes in specifying. Many other think that portals are divided into the groups of applied portals and informative portals. But it seems to be incorrect too, because the nature of portal demands on the brining information and services mixed together.
In the other hand, some others think that portals are divided into these categories:
· Business to customer portals (B2C)
· Business to business portals (B2B)
· Business to employer portals (B2E)
· Public portals
B2C ones are the most common portals with the feature of products and services exchange among users and companies. But the B2B portal is only limited to the inter-companies exchange.
In fact with such categorization, we defined a property and ability for few times and expanded the circle without any reason. We forgot that it is possible to have a more abstract and useful categorization.
Imagine that you are on of photo.net users. One of the most incompatible picture resources with the educative courses and being updated daily by thousands of users.
Now the site owners decided to offer the users with the free mailbox services. What is the accounting warranty for this offer?
Remember that the mailbox is just given to them who use and subscribe photo.net frequently and affect the progress and enhancement of it. By being the user disconnected to site, there is no value mentioned for him and his personal profile in the site.
The structure of portal is also considered in one of these items:
· Type of programming
· Type of project management
· Type of financial accounting of the site
The necessity of structure's definition is preventing the occurrence of probably mistakes, high security provide and economic thriftiness.
There is not any single and unit building structure for all of web portals and it must be defined based on the cultural, financial and geographical conditions. So the portal's structure is the presentation of it that provides us with the basic information about the configuration and management of project. These presentations are divided into two groups:
· Administrative management
· Customer management
The type of project management and used standards are the basic fundaments of portal. These standards are in a full-time interacting with together and breaking the rules and laws would damages whole the structure and bases intentionally.

Amazon Web Services API Very Easy to Use
If you've been wanting to integrate Amazon products onto your site or web store, I have great news for you. We've been exploring the Amazon developer tools and have found their Web Services API extremely easy to use. I am assuming for this entry that you are familiar with the term "Web Services." If you are not, please go do a quick Google search on it as it is a technical term with a very specific meaning, NOT to be interpreted as "a web page with many services."
In a little under an hour we went from no integration with the Amazon site whatsoever, to hosting a search entry box and displaying full results on our web server populated with Amazon products. Here's how it works:
1) You sign up for an Amazon developers ID. This is a free sign-up process at the Amazon site.
2) You download example API code from Amazon or many other places via a Google search.
3) You build a simple html input form on your site to collect the search criteria you plan to send to Amazon.
4) On the output page, you call simple Web Service XML code that communicates your search criteria to the Amazon.com servers along with your developer's ID. The Amazon servers return back all the products that match, along with an image link, product description and pricing information. Your output page then displays this information to the user.
I think the applications for this type of web service integration are massive. In short, anyone who is creating a content-rich site and wants to advertise Amazon products (books, CDs, DVDs, clothes, electronics, etc) can now do so quite easily. The possibilities get really exciting when you figure out what key words to pass to Amazon to make the product listings most relevant to the site content. We are still working on these ideas.
I also feel very positive that Amazon has decided to expose their entire product database, reviews and pricing so easily to the Web 2.0 world. I think it is quite progressive and is driving things forward. Let me know if you have questions or need help with this.

What is Andrew Fox's The Guru Slayer
What is The Guru Slayer? After receiving a whirlwind of emails from all the big names promoting it, you are probably wondering what all the fuss on The Guru Slayer is about. There has been considerable hype on the Internet and even more buzz about the hot new release from Andrew Fox.
Much of the popularity is certainly due to the success that Andrew Fox, the author of The Guru Slayer, had with his previous releases (Dominating Clickbank and Dominating Adsense). On the other hand, The Guru Slayer claims to teach new marketers how to create their "own buzz" on the Internet, so it would appear that Andrew's strategy is working.
When I first got word about the release of The Guru Slayer, I didn't know what it was about and assumed it was probably a rehashed and repackaged version of one, or possibly both of Andrew's previous ebook releases. But come to find out, it is much, much more, and has totally changed my view about how to strategically rollout an effective affiliate campaign. But given that, I still don't think The Guru Slayer is for everyone
The Guru Slayer is about affiliate marketing, as was Andrew's previous product. It focuses on doing a little bit of detective work before a big launch, and keeping your ear to the ground to catch the buzz words on blogs, forums, and websites across the Internet. The Guru Slayer is similar to Dominating Clickbank in that Andrew revisits his technique of purchasing resale rights and having affiliates market the products on Clickbank.
I am of course curious on how effective the techniques in The Guru Slayer will be for the "little-guy" affiliates, the ones with little capital and a minimal to non-existent email list. According to The Guru Slayer free report that Andrew recently mailed out, he spent considerable time testing his methods with average Joe affiliates, and was able to return impressive results. But only real testing by those who decide to purchase The Guru Slayer will tell.
Before you buy The Guru Slayer, I highly suggest you read up on it and see what the word on the street is. Find out if others have experienced success with Andrew's system, or if they think the book was mainly hype. Search out real people who have tested and are using the methods in The Guru Slayer, and don't just rely on the promotional messages from the "gurus' in your inbox.

Link Popularity – What is Link Popularity?
When search engines give a website a rank they also factor in how popular that website is on the basis of how many other websites like to it. Link popularity is basically how many websites link to your website or a page in your website. This is a very important factor in search engine ranking. Search engines routinely send out their spiders, which are actually small programs, to crawl through the links in indexed websites. These spiders follow all the links they see, even the ones going out of an indexed website. This has created the concept of reciprocal linking. Websites will often have reciprocal links pointing to each other. Such an arrangement is reached through mutual consent and through link exchange services. Over the years search engines have become smart and can now figure out if such linking is being carried out for sheer page rank achievement rather than any real relevance.
Today, most link building exercises begin with Yahoo and other web directories such as Joe Ant and Dmoz. There is no clear criteria that helps determine which directory is better than another and most of the time it is just personal preference. One thing to keep in mind is that you should always establish reciprocal links with a website that enjoys better search engine ranking than your own, otherwise it just does not make any sense. Toolbars like Google Toolbar and Alexa can instantly give you the page rank of any website you visit. Note that reciprocal link means that your website will have to feature the link of all websites with whom you decide to exchange links.

They play on your hope and play on the fact that we all want a taste of the good life. We all want a brand new car, brand new house, and brand new financial life. They tell us that their program or eBook will deliver just that, but does it ever work. The answer my friends is No.
There are very few eBooks out there that can show you how to make money, get out of debt, become gorgeous, and start a new life. This is because most of us read it and find out that it is garbage. The programs and eBooks that are out there that actually can help us are so hard to find that we have already spent so much money by the time we find a legit one we have nothing left.
We should have done our research and really got a feel for what we were purchasing. A few articles about how the program is a scam could have been enough to sway us towards a different program.
I will tell you that there are some very legit programs out there that will help you on your way to an internet income, but they are not easy to find. They are usually not the ones that have the best sales copy or the strongest ranking on the search engines. That is because they have not scammed anybody out of thousands of dollars to pay for that advertising.
